Citizen science
Straight from your phone. We read the date and place out of the photo, so there is almost nothing to type.
As many as you like. We shrink them on your phone first, so this works on a weak signal and barely uses your data.
Pick from your camera roll, not “Take Photo”. Photos shot inside a browser lose their location. One taken with your normal camera app keeps it, and that is what turns a photo into a record.
iPhone. If a photo will not load, set Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible. We convert HEIC here anyway, but that setting makes everything smoother.
Add a name if you know it. If you do not, leave it blank — working that out is our job.
Some photos had no location saved. Drag the pin to where you were, and we will use it for those.
Helps us group sightings by site.
So we can credit the sighting to you and let you know what it turned out to be.
Used only to credit you and reply about your sighting. See our privacy policy.
